THE NIGHT BEFORE Lotawana Day

'Twas the night before Lotawana Day, when all ‘round the lake

Not a creature was stirring, well maybe a drink;

The coolers were put on the boat dock with care,

In hopes that after skinny dipping they still would be there;

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of ski shows dance in their heads;

And mamma in her jammies, and I in my cap,

Had just settled down for a Lotawana nap,

When out on the water there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

Down to the Lake I flew like a flash,

Tore open the boat house and looked by the trash.

The moon on the lake water

Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects out there,

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a Big Giant Rat with eight cases of beer,

With a big old beer belly, so round and so fat,

I knew in a moment it must be the Lake Rat.

More rapid than JetSkis his courses he traveled,

And he whistled, and shouted, then floated and paddled;

"Now, M-block! now, R-block! now, B and C too!

On, X block! on Yblock! on, 2nd tier too!

To the top of Goat Hill! to the top of the dam!

Now drink em up! drink em up! drink em up, all!"

So up to the next boat house-top the coursers they flew,

With the bag O beer, and some munchies too.
& I heard him exclain as he swam out of sight.
"Happy Lotawana DAY to all, and to all a good-night."

True Player Mentality

Inspired by Lees Summit LAX(LaCross) today! Great 2 C my boy & his friends playing their hearts out. A ruff, ruff sport but the victory was sweet. My heart went out to the J.V. goalie who stood N the second game the whole time. What a tough position! Goalies have to stay the most focused on everything in the game even when they are not in the plays, & handling the frustration of goals scored, truely a bitter pill to take again & again. Hats off to the ones who never give up! as well as Every player who takes thier position and "the game" seriously. Great concentration from these young athletes learning thier sport. I hope they carry over the desire they have shown in this sport into the rest of there activities and continue the teamwork and camaraderie they showed today. Very Good!

Bull E Sh!+

I awoke this morning to a national news program running a segment on "Bullying" and "How wrong it was". I watched a well put together arguement and hidden camera experiment showing peoples reactions and all the negative repercussions of Bullies behavior. It reminded me exactly of the voices of the Sgt.'s I had heard through boot camp visits. Then I loaded my girlfriend into the car & drove her onto McConnell Air Force Base passing our own Bullies & teaching ourselves to Bully the world. I think I'm gonna B sick.....

Holiday

Family time and the Winter Holiday Seasons are upon us & I am hoping all my friends receive the holiday miracles they deserve. I feel so lucky to have the family I have and wish everyone could be part of my celebrations this year. I am truly blessed.

Really America?

This will just be a quick rant on War.

I am dumbfounded with the stupidity of our wars on inanimate objects specifically drugs and terror. The Obvious waste of time of waging any war let alone one on something that isn't really fighting back bundled with the huge waste of resources and money that could be going to other American interests. This along with the apparent ulterior objectives here baffles my simple mind that we the people continue to allow and support these "wars".
I believe there should be NO laws restricting peoples consumption of any substance they choose. Detrimental behaviors publicly and socially will deteriorate. It's simply survival of the fittest in action. Again, you can't demonize an inanimate object. It's ridiculous.
The war on terror may have begun or maybe escalated due to an "attack" by a few men and what have we done? I don't even want to know any more of the extent of these operations. The military actions of this country sicken me and I'm not a man of the highest moral standing. The peace and freedom that innately exist will/would prevail. PLEASE, Let's STOP WASTING OUR TIME WITH WARS!
